Here is a quick update on The European Championships. The last paragraph is the meaningful part. First, Big thanks to @035GYM for allowing me the opportunity to compete at the highest level of the sport against the best in the world. This weekend was amazing! It was surreal to hear the names been called to the matts and see the fear in the faces of elite level athletes as they as the prepare to fight It was a long walk and it felt like death row. There were competitors from every continent. My bracket alone had a world champion, a 2x PanAm champion, a previous European Champion and dudes from USA, UAE, Italy, Brazil, Spain, Ecuador, France and a little gypsy from God knows where :). My first opponent (the 2x PanAm champion) was disqualified and I got a by to the quarterfinals where I lost by one advantage. My opponent was tough at tournament BJJ player and had a mean close guard. He was listening carefully to his corner and managing time correctly. I again didnt even have a corner (< excuse). I gave up a triangle to pass guard (
