Here is a recent US District Court decision against the City and a police officer to dismiss their case for excessive force. Plaintiff Daniel L. Rockwell alleges that Defendant Detective Clyde Rawlins wrongfully tased Rockwell while he was standing on a second-story ledge, causing him to fall. He further alleged that the tasing constituted gross negligence which caused him to break vertebra in his back. Defendant Rawlins said that Rockwell contributed to his negligence. The judge said, bullshit, that is an issue for the jury. The City is leaving these police officers out there to hang on their own.
