Here is a remarkable video taking a Schilke X3 from a dog to a rocket. The difference between before and after in db alone is +10! The horn was used and used. It just developed tension - tightness - mechanical issues with the tuneable bell track and other items. These things develop slowly over time and unless corrected and tweaked back to specs horns like this end up on EBAY where I buy them low then tweak them and sell them for a nice profit.
