It is not a mystical manual for those in search of some inner spiritual enlightenment! It is good old, hard won, experience-based advice based on physics and simple chemistry. It is presented in a structured format with uniform terminology. It is a good book. My background is as an engineer and teacher. I have had decades of outdoor experience and expertise.
