Here is a short conga drum tutorial i made showing how to play tumbao, a basic cuban style hand pattern in this case for two conga drums in a non traditional form which incorporates double sided shuffles or heel tips on both hands. By spreading out the rhythm in this manner you can free up your hands to play this rhythm much faster or at least much, much easier then most of us could ever play it one sided. I developed this style over many years for playing in scenarios and situations which called for very fast patterns which I was not able to do easily one sided. I do not suggest this as a replacement for tumbao, only as a useful and practical adaptation. I hope this helps you. I call it Juju Lee.
