Be sure to check out his beautiful commentary below!!! Hallelujah! Robby wrote: Christmas is almost here! For me, Christmas is a celebration of equal parts expectation and uncertainty. No matter what tradition you have in your family around Christmas, invariably they involve some sort of surprise. For it is the astonishment at the sight of the Christ child that is at the center of our celebration. Our messiah, was a baby. Defenseless and needy but pure and the exemplar of love in its purest form, the love of a mother and a child. This baby who would one day heal the sick, give sight to the blind, raise the dead, and inspire generations, was at the mercy of those who were impressed with his care. Let us celebrate the beginning of a life that not even death could conquer. Jesus endures. Foster the uncertainty in your life. Put your worry into the image of a small baby for whom you must care. No one knows what is to come but by our faith we know that it will be Gods will. Let us be good stewards of our unexpected blessings. Let us turn our barns into holy and reverent places. Let us sing the praises of God with those who live in the fields. Let us make apostles of the fishermen and tax collectors in our lives. Let us embody the light that was to be born on the day we all celebrate as Christmas. Hallelujah!
