Here is a video of Toby walking up from his pasture to be trimmed on Sunday. Before you watch, please notice/keep in mind: (1) look at his front feet – walking fine on them, no sign of pain/discomfort, he’s not trying to stay off of them; (2) yes, his hind end still has an exaggerated gait, but, remember about 5 months ago, the movement was far worse – his legs were going so far forward and so high, that they were almost hitting his chest; (3) in the past, we have had to encourage him to walk by tapping him with the leadline – but as you can see, he is now walking willingly and without hesitation – and his pasture is a LONG WALK away, most of it uphill. Does he still have a long way to go? YES. But look how far he’s come!
