Here is an Amtrak loco modified into a Cabbage (Control/Baggage) car for my Downeaster model. [The Downeaster runs with a loco on one end, a cabbage car on the opposite end]. This is a Life-Like dummy loco. The modification was to cut a hole in the side and glue in some scribed styrene for the rollup door. The dummy does not have electrical pickups, so a wire runs into it from the passenger coaches to power the directional LEDs - white for forward, and red between the number boards when the unit is trailing.
