Here is an article that explains about the Lignans. People who are ill from mold and mycotoxin exposures may not do well with flax seeds or flax seed oil enhanced with lignans because the mycotoxins, which are mold poisons, contain estrogenic properties, which can cause a hormonal imbalance.
