Here is an email that my 13 year old daughter sent me tonight. I had to share it because its pretty damn cool: Dad I still think about the election a lot. It made me really sad still that you didnt earn enough votes to become a part in the legislature. I know that Im young and that I dont understand, but I truly feel that it is unfair that you lost. Youve heard this so many times but you worked so hard. You taught me that if you want something that bad, you need to make it happen yourself. Even though youve convinced yourself that youre a loser, I have learned so much from the experience and I wouldnt have traded the days I spent campaigning with you for anything. I hope you know that you have my uttermost respect and I admire you not only as a dad but a person. Dont ever feel like everything was a waste of time because I really think that you taught me and Aidan some really great life goals and no matter what Im always... always proud of you.
