Here is an example of over watering while the stems are rock firm.. These marks will eventually split open. I only water if the stems and tips are kinda soft to the touch. In my opinion, plumerias are like succulents. When plumerias are dehyrated, they get soft, retaining its color, but shrivel up. Once it is water adequately, the roots will absorb enough water for each stem and tip to rehydrate, thus shrivel lines will disappear. Appearance of the the plant will look smooth and healthy again. Once the crack opens up, at this point, aesthetically it will look kinda ugly. I have to wait and see what happens. Will the tissue heal itself or will this look be permanent. Just my 2 cents.
