Here is an excellent delicious recipe for an easy to make gluten-free vegan pizza crust. The base is cauliflower and chia seeds - making this a very healthy food. Cauliflower is an excellent health-enhancing food! High in natural sulfur (an excellent detox aid), as well as antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins C and K, manganese, and B vitamins. Cauliflower has shown beneficial for brain health, cancer prevention, detoxification, and is a strong anti-inflammatory food. Chia seeds are tiny but packed with powerful nutrition! A staple in Mayan and Aztec diets for centuries, modern science now reveals some of the health benefits of chia. These little seeds are one of the highest natural sources of omega 3 oils, as well as high in calcium, magnesium, fiber, and antioxidants. Chia has shown to be anti-inflammatory, helpful in reducing cholesterol, regulating insulin levels, and improving digestion. Top as you like... consider a classic red sauce, pesto, hummus, olive spread, or a vegan nut-cream or coconut cream alfredo... mushrooms, fresh herbs, vegan cashew mozzarella or macadamia parmesan, veggies, olives, capers, etc... and yes, this can also be topped with your favorite non-vegan additions as well :) Ingredients: 1 Large head of Organic Cauliflower 3/4 cup of ground almonds 1 1/2 Tbsp dried oregano Sea or Himalayan salt and black pepper to taste 1/4 cup Chia seeds 3/4 cup water Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 400F. 2. Mix your chia seeds in with the 3/4 cup of water and place in your fridge 20 minutes before intended use. 2. Chop the cauliflower, and place in a blender or food processor and blend until it is a fine rice-like texture. 3. Measure out around 3 cups and place into a large bowl, add in the ground almonds, oregano, salt, and pepper. Make a hole in the center and add in the Chia goop. 4. Combine the ingredients by hand and, and shape everything together into a ball. It should be loose and sticky not like a traditional dough. 5. Put the ball onto a baking tray and form into a flat crust with your hands. Make a ridge around the outside, and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. 6. Add your favorite sauce, and toppings - then bake an additional 5-10 minutes and enjoy!
