Here is an excerpt: The murderous prow of the Decepticon heavy battle cruiser Malice Machina tore through the veil between warp space and the void in a fit of apocalyptic ferocity. The kilometers long ship slipped through a ragged tear between realities as half sentient warp entities, desperate with unimaginable anger, clawed desperately at the protective Gellar field, frantic not to let this source of power escape their chaotic realm. The haphazard pockets of thin atmosphere that clung to the hull were enveloped in roiling storms of red and purple lightning as the last of the nightmare realm of thought and hate was cast aside for the more regimented reality of real space. The Malice was a manowar of a thousand thousand campaigns in the War for Cybertronian Freedom, its efficient lance batteries had scoured the life from hundreds of Autobot vessels, and it bore the malignant scars of interstellar war with a quiet but malevolent dignity. High atop the crenellated bridge section, the slashing lines of the Decepticon icon blazed in 1000 CDu duranium spars, the only aesthetic affectation of the warship that was otherwise dedicated solely to the art of ship killing. As the flagship of the 7th fleet, the Malice had the honor of carrying the icon that had freed so many sparks from Iaconian oppression into combat. The ship’s navigators had terminated the warp jump perilously close to their objective in an effort to avoid the screen of Mark 7 defense platforms that orbited the station in wide ellipses and the prowling shoals of automated fighter drones. Any of the Seekers onboard the Malice could easily have destroyed dozens of the drones, given their simple algorithmic programming and artless tactics, but in large groups they could present a danger to a leviathan of the void whose defense turrets were slow to react to the pinpricks of fighters.
