Here is an unusual old venue... Who remembers the Iceland Skating Rink on cnr. South & Warrigal Rds. Moorabiin. In late 60s early 70s they had a half moon stage above the ice and on Sunday nights we would skate underneath to bands like Billy Thorpe, Master Apprentices, Town Criers, Daddy Cool and Chain! We were screaming high school kids... When it closed the venue went to Ringwood Skating Rink where they had a stage in the centre that you skated around. Saw Healing Force and Chain there as well. This was in 1971 or so...
