Here is an update my friends: Eby is still doing well on his concoction of meds. But, now it is time for me to tell you of the kick in the gut I got today...... Brought Emi, my other Chin to a new vet today, not the veterinarian her and Eby had been seeing before. Got some news I was suspecting, but praying wasnt true. Emi has a heart murmur as well. I dont know much at this point, will know more once she has her heart ultrasound performed. To say I feel devastated is putting it mildly. Hoping it is very minor and is something that can be easily managed. I will keep everyone updated. Now, I have a question for all of you, would it be ok if I took off the self imposed $1500 cap that I initially placed? The $1500 wouldnt have covered all of Ebys vet bills alone, but now adding Emi to the mix has me worried about being able to cover her expenses and still maintain Eby. Emis heart ultrasound is going to be $375, like Ebys was. Please let me know, everyones feedback is important as it is you guys that are helping me! (Note: ANY bit of money in excess of what is absolutely necessary for Eby and Emi WILL be going to JCCare, I still want to be able to help them. I do NOT expect to have all of their vet bills completely covered by everyone else, just what I cannot afford. I am hoping I get a job that I just graduated college for soon, I am looking and sending out applications every time a new posting is listed.) I feel horrible, obviously because of Emis news, but also because I feel greedy for even asking to lift the cap I placed. I am sorry.
