Here is an update on my brother. Ive wanted to only post information that my sister-in-law would want posted and this is what she just posted on her wall. So I feel I can give a bit more details of his current condition. He was diagnosed with encephalitis, which has caused swelling in his brain. Here is the latest: I just spoke with the neurologist. The virus in his brain has caused some damage to his temporal lobe. We will be at the intermediate care for another day or two and then he will be transferred directly to an in patient facility for cognitive therapy to regain the full use of his brain. The inpatient therapy will go about 2-3 weeks and then he has a long road ahead of rebuilding his brain. It can be done (and will be done) but its gonna take some hard work.
