Here is another memory that put a smile now on my face,it was the late 80s,and me and my family was living down below the police station in Hope Salem, and one of my friend Mrs Jacklyn Allen- Brown live on the other side of the road next to the police station,so we were always in each other homes, sleep over and everything was normal.Anyway,Jacklyn had siblings living in the USA,so it was normal that she would get things like clothes shoes, and toys from them, anyway one day after we all got home from school she call me to show me what she had got,it was a rollerskate shoe,we wore the same size, but she was afraid to try them, especially as her yard was like a hill,so she asked me if I would like to try them,so we went to the top,I put them on and stand up,I remember she said to stop the skate you would have to stand like you was standing on your toes.so I stood up,the yard was grass,so its not like it was cement,or gravel, but before she could grab my hand I went flying down the hill, everyone around heard me screaming as I flew down the hill,at the end of her yard was the road, but that just made it pick up speed,I guess I should say I was lucky because before I could even blink on the other side of the road, was a mango tree,so I flew head first into the bark of the tree and drop back on my back, eventually when Jacklyn caught up to me,she tried helping me up,but the skates were still on my feet and cause me to be doing splits,I pass out,and was taken to the hospital 2 days later I came home,I never saw the skates again, because Jacklyn mother thought they was dangerous,so she was`nt allowed to put them on.Looking back now,I can smile, the things you do as kids..lol.Hope you all are having a Wonderful Blessed Sunday,Love You Guys..
