Here is another situation involving unnecessary harassment from local Law Enforcement on a person of color that happens every day some where here in America. Being guilty of being born black in our country seems to be an automatic felony offense, and you have to prove your innocents before a court of law for just being accused of anything by Law Enforcement. What would you have done differently? Can people who arent black ever begin to understand? I doubt it!!! Who polices the police? Their friends. The guys that they get drunk and have fun with and hang at the Donut shop with. Are people of color able to get justice in cases like this? Only if they can get enough witnesses and people with cameras to come to their aid and then follow through with getting it to the media. Otherwise the cops will be found justified. As usual. Its sad, but true. Whats even worse is that many Americans see it but act as if they dont see it. They dont care because its not affecting them directly. Yes, there are 10s of thousands of African American Males and Females in our prison system whose only crime was being black in a place and at a time when they should have been some place else. Stopped sometimes for absolutely nothing, and placed under arrest because they spoke up about knowing their rights. When does it stop? When people of color decide to become more powerful economically and also learn to use their votes in a way that bring about political and social change in America. When we as a nation start to demand better and more extensive psychological training as an ongoing part of being in Law Enforcement for our Policemen, Judges and Social working officials. They should be tested and evaluated through a private psychological and mental center or organization twice a year throughout their career to see if they are capable of being a real public servant who can fairly deal with people of all races, nationalities and attitudes. We need to stop making Macho wannabes with bad attitudes and chips on their shoulders crazy creeps the people who are in charge of protecting us. They are to busy doing everything else but. Because if we dont, we will continue to have to deal with this ignorance. No, I am not saying that all of them are this way, but I am saying that far to many of them are, and it seems to be condoned or hidden by the others who have a ignorant code of silence in place to protect the bad apples. And since they all come up through the ranks working and living this way it goes all of the way to the top of their chain. Sad, but very true.
