Here is another video of my awesome experience with Backline Revival. Great musicians and I have absolute respect for them. For me personally, Ill say again, my focus was to get the vocals down and do the songs the justice they deserve, and from their comments I feel I achieved my goal. Very hard to rock out first time practicing together and not sacrifice vocal quality. IMO. Vocals come first, you either have it or you dont. Rocking out comes with practice, getting lyrics down to muscle memory and getting to know your bandmates. I look at it like this, stage presence is sooo important at shows to draw crowds, especially in a coverband (I know I have that, 325 supporters at our last Swagger show cant be wrong) but in an original band you also need to sound amazing on a CD and that was my focus at that time.
