Here is favorite from my YouTube channel: The immortal voice of the English singer Matt Monro, has a certain indescribable quality. He was undoubtedly blessed with a gift of a beautiful tone of voice. Throughout his career he proved to be worthy of this invaluable gift...... He was best known for his effortless singing, his perfect word pronunciation, and his special delivery of the lyrics, that left a lasting impression on the listener. A singer once said, His pitch was right on the nose, his word enunciation letter perfect, his understanding of a song thorough. He will be missed very much by his fans all over the world. That singer was the legendary Frank Sinatra who referred to him as the irreplaceable Matt Monro. The song Answer Me was originally recorded in the early 50s by Frankie Lane & David Whitfield. In the original lyrics, the singer addressed God rather than talking to his love. The song began with the phrase, Answer me Lord above. Later, the lyrics were slightly modified. Lord above was replaced by Oh my love directly addressing the love. Nat King Cole recorded the song in 1954 and made it one of his own classics. Some vocalists have recorded Answer Me in its original version, addressing God. Among them is a version by Engelbert Humperdick and arranged by the late Argentinean composer, Bebu Silvetti. Lyrics: Answer me, Oh my love Just what sin have I been guilty of, Tell me how I came to lose your love Please answer me My love. You were mine yesterday, I believed that love was here to stay, Wont you tell me where Ive gone astray, Please answer me My love. If youre happier without me Ill try not to care But if you still think about me, Please listen to my prayer. You must know Ive been true, Wont you say that we can start anew, In my sorrow now I turn to you Please answer me My love. . https://youtube/watch?v=3VCtTOP5RqA .
