Here is my Fig cake requested recipe. Fig cake 2 cups cake flour 1 tsp salt 1tsp baking soda 1tsp cloves 1tsp cinnamon 11/2 cup sugar 1 cup oil 3 eggs 1 cup buttermilk 1cup fig preserves and juice mashed 1 cup chopped pecans 1Tbs vanilla Preheat oven to 325º. Sift spices, flour and sugar together. Add oil, eggs and milk. Mix well. Stir in figs, nuts and vanilla. Spray a 10 x 13 pan well and pour cake batter in pan. Bake for approximately 45 min. I check at 40 min. Icing Mix 1 cup sugar 1 stick butter 1Tbs Karo syrup 1Tbs vanilla 1/2 cup buttermilk 1/2 tsp baking soda Put in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil and boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly. With fork punch holes all over cake and pour icing over warm cake. Enjoy.
