Here is my Moms update for Aunt Elaine: Elaine was moved to the third floor to have a cardigen (sp) drip that would regulate her hearts rhythm. It worked well. She continues to have a brain bleed; cannot have an MRI because she had a metal buckle attached several years ago to hold her retina in place. They inserted a camera down her throat to locate the source of blood clots and to look at the back side of her heart. A mass that could be either a tumor or infection was seen. Sacred Heart is waiting for MRIs taken at Gulf Coast (they did not see the buckle) to help make a decision re: surgery. We do not know what the mass is yet. She responds to questions with one word answers mostly. She recognizes everyone, even people from 30 years ago when she lived in Pensacola. She practically inhaled the solid food I fed her yesterday and continues on regular food. Very glad to be off of liquids only. She responds to doctors asking her to squeeze their hand with her left and right hands---stick out her tongue, etc. She is one tough lady who is fighting hard to improve. Please pray for a great recovery and for Leslie, Scott, and family.
