Here is my plan for use in a Government Shut-Down: 1. All members of congress are immediately dismissed from office a. Said members lose their paychecks and all benefits associated with the post 2. The Debt Ceiling is immediately raised by 25% of its current rate, enabling those that depend on the Federal Government to continue receiving services. 3. The Federal government will be required to review all spending and reduce the overall threshold by 15% of its current rate, by this time next year. a. They may not reduce the amount of benefits released from SSN benefits or to education 4. All states are to have re-elections for their senators and other congressmen, persons who are currently in office are forbidden from running for re-election now or in the future. 5. 13% of the Federal Budget will be used to pay off debts per year. 6. Obama Care will be repealed and a system based on the following principles will be outlined: a. All US Citizens will be enrolled in a healthcare plan to provide basic/emergency healthcare needs. b. A new Federal Agency will be established to manage the national Insurance Plan i. Said agency will be responsible for providing healthcare to all citizens ii. Citizens may opt to use their own private insurance in addition to the guaranteed health benefit iii. Citizens will not be charged for opting out of the program c. A Flat tax will be imposed based on Income or income ranges – Corporations will have the highest tax payments while the average citizen will have the lowest. 7. Illegal Immigration: While we empathize with the citizens of other nations for not having the same benefits as US Citizens, it must be understood that it is their responsibility to manage their own government. a. These individuals will not be granted American Citizenship unless they are LEGAL aliens within the USA. b. They will not qualify for the Federal Healthcare Insurance policy c. They may continue to receive benefits from the ER– this is to prevent the spread of disease to the Citizenry of the USA. d. They will be deported immediately – after validating that they are not American Citizens. i. Again, if their country sucks they need to make it better. e. Since its more cost effective for the US to help Mexico then it is to fight Illegal Immigrants, we will aid Mexico. i. Any money offered to Mexico will be considered a Low interest Loan.
