Here is my testimonial as a Market Basket customer. **Warning this will be long** Ive only been a customer for about 5 years. Not nearly as long as many of you. When I was living in MA, there were none close to where I live. I spend the summers at campground in the boonies ;) and the closest grocery store is 15 miles away. Thats where I shopped for many summers. One day I was in Tilton, which is 40 miles from the campground, but from that day forward, I drove to Tilton, weekly, to get my groceries. It was all about the employees, excuse me, the associates who go above and beyond to assist their customers. Well I have to admit the prices were great too. :) A couple of examples: Last summer I popped in quickly to the Tilton store on my way back from Concord. I wear my glasses, which I need for driving, on a chain. Well I broke the chain that morning and forgot. When I got into the store, I automatically removed them and went about my shopping. It was not until I went back outside and reached for the glasses that I realized they were missing. I went to the customer service booth and asked the lovely lady, who was about my age, if anyone had turned in a pair of glasses with sunglasses clipped on. No one had. I started retracing my steps around the store, back through the dairy aisle, down to the deli. The deli associates helped me to try and find them. No luck. Over to produce, looking on the floor, in the bins, talking to the potatoes, asking if they had seen my glasses :D No luck. Back to customer service. Nope :( I was due at work, so I called my boss, the owner of the campground, to let him know that I was probably going to be late because I could not drive without my glasses. He was great!! Back to my mission to find the glasses. I retraced my steps three times around the store, with helpful associates all along the way. I finally decided to check my truck, thinking I may have removed them before I walked into the store. Nope, so I put the groceries in the truck and went back into the store. A wonderful young man, who was collecting the shopping carts, walked back into the store with me, stopping at the customer service booth, and he stood in line waiting his turn, while I ran around the store one last time. I am not a youngster, and I can tell you that I have never been so impressed by everyones willingness to help me, in ways that I have never experienced! There was a happy ending. I went back to my first stop, in the dairy aisle, to get sour cream. I had removed the glasses to read the container (I wanted full fat, not reduced LOL) and the glasses had folded, and landed perfectly flat onto the refrigeration fins. I walked around the store one more time to thank everyone who had helped me search!!! Tilton store is the bomb!! I have more, shall I continue?
