Here is one of Craigs videos. Im posting anew so not to interrupt another thread. To be clear I am not being a critic, nor a elitist. I am asking a solid question. I see a number of axes and hatchets with straight bits. I prefer a curved bit. I will post a video of Craigs showing a straight bit on a carpenters hatchet in use. At 1:13 seconds into it you can see where the straight bit only bites in at the upper corner. A curved bit would allow an easier cut at this point and I dont see where the curved bit would have been a hindrance in the method Craig used to remove waste up to that point.
