Here is one of my favorite Deadlift variations; the One-Arm Dumbbell Deadlift! Because of the greater range of motion, it will also greatly enhance your regular Deadlift. And here is how to perform it: take a dumbbell that is heavy enough to limit you to 8-10 reps. Squat down and graph the dumbell. Push off the floor and stand straight up!! This motion should look like you are picking up a heavy suitcase. Slowly lower the dumbbell back to the floor. Pause for a 1 count and continue. This exercise will also get you huffing and puffing like a steam engine!!! Rest about 1 minute after you finish on one side and then go to the opposite side. I like to do 3 sets of 10 at the end of Deadlift day.
