Here is one that wont be recorded, but it was sure fun to write. It is a parody of the 1968 bubblegum hit, Simon Says by the 1910 Fruitgum Company. One day I got the urge to write an updated version of the song as the participants age a bit..lol... Dr. Simon Says I remember well the game That was so much fun In ’68 so very fun to do Years later though, my Dr. Simon says That my parts don’t work like they used to When I put my hands in the air Dr. Simon Says And shake them all about Dr. Simon Says Arthritis, Simon says Dr. Simon Says Or maybe it’s gout Dr. Simon Says Careful with my new hip Cause my discs are slipped Simon Says When I put my hands on my head Dr. Simon Says Its pure vertigo Dr. Simon says Getting dizzy sometimes Dr. Simon says Don’t know which way to go I used to love this song Played on the radio When all my moving parts worked like they should But I don’t really care what Dr. Simon Says Cause in my mind I’m doing good Clap your hands in the air (I’m getting weaker, weaker..) Heart rate in double time (Ate too many gumdrops, pulse is doing flip flops) Are your legs getting sore? (Can’t take a giant step, that’s for sure) Better lay off the wine (My meds come special delivery!)
