Here is our first product that we will be making for a client who sells to Home Depot, Walmart and Costco!! We also have our tree boxes that we will be selling to nurseries!! Operation: Work My Way Home Work My Way Home is a work opportunity program developed by Angels of Hope to assist the homeless, immigrant population here in Tijuana, México. How will the Work My Way Home program function? Angels of Hope has approached several businesses to provide work opportunities for the immigrants; these include: production, assembly and packaging of different manufactured products. We have received, by donation, the use of a world class wood shop and maquiladora. We can make simple planter boxes, sophisticated furniture and point of purchase displays. The opportunities and ideas are endless. Our goal is to provide 400 work opportunities in the next 3 years and to send 2 -3 + people home per month with hope to start a work opportunity program back in their hometown. Work opportunities will consist of a profit sharing program so that there is a better-than-fair compensation for each worker. We don’t believe in the oppressed wages that are being offered here in Tijuana. We believe that we can do better than that! We are not looking to move in the opposite direction from creating a society of beggars, that some systems are presently doing, and strengthen a society of honest God fearing workers! We are not asking for a hand out -- but a hand up and a second chance. The Angels of Hope Work My Way Home program also assists those in need of shelter, food and transportation to work. 400+ immigrants and their families are deported on a daily basis to Tijuana. They tell us that they want to return to their original hometowns and reunite with their families. Work My Way Home can be their vehicle to get there.
