Here is some news from Michael and Vickie Janson. Have you heard who’s standing as a candidate in Eltham? As you know I have been supporting my wife Vickie for a number of years in the political domain and in the upcoming state election I have decided to stand as the Australian Christians candidate for Eltham. The Eltham District is part of the Eastern Metro Region where Vickie is standing as the Regional Candidate, and with a bit of extra support from us all, we hope she will win a seat! I believe it’s time to examine the direction we are headed and not be driven by emotive ideologies that have shallow foundations. I believe this will only undermine our society. I am particularly concerned about what is being promoted as education in our schools and believe most parents would be too. Vickie’s report on the Safe Schools Program earlier this year is shocking everyone who hears about. Critically in this election, I am concerned that if the Victorian Labor Party are elected they will undermine all faith based organisations because they have committed to repeal the religious exemptions under the Equal Opportunity Act. It will prevent Christian organizations from employing Christians. This would undermine freedom of belief and association and the whole notion of a free society. We need your help to be a voice for life, family and freedom. As part of standing as a candidate, I am seeking on behalf of myself and Vickie, about 40 volunteers in the Eltham District to help distribute ‘How To Vote cards’ during the 2 weeks of pre-polling, and on Election Day (29 November). We would appreciate any hours that you can spare at a Polling booth in the Eltham District. If you would like to invest financially in our campaign, we would certainly appreciate that. Donations of any amount will help towards the $2,000 of associated costs that include, corflutes, advertising flyers, the VEC nomination fee and the printing of ‘How To Vote ‘cards for election day. Our campaign theme is “The Time is Right“ and we believe that the time is right to use this opportunity to make a stand for the values that we want to maintain in this great nation. Please visit australianchristians.au to find more about the AC vision and watch this short video clip where Vickie speaks about “It’s time to vote for values” in this election. Kind regards, and I would really appreciate hearing from you if you can join with us and offer your support.
