Here is some truth about Judgment. John 3:19 Amplified Bible - TopicsExpress

Here is some truth about Judgment. John 3:19 Amplified Bible (AMP) 19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil. In the bible, the words judgment and discernment may be used synonymously in many cases. There are actually three root words for judgement found in the Greek. This gives us a strong insight regarding the nature of discernment. The first root word in the Greek anakrino. In vines dictionary, the base meaning of this word is the ability to discern. We should always operate under this type of discernment as used in 1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The second root word found in the Greek is dokimazo. The definition being to test or prove. Luke 12:56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? 1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. The third root word is krino which actually means to condemn. This is never the role of a Christian. We should even test and prove at times, but condemnation is off limits for the believer.Matthew 7:1-2 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. From these three types of judgment, we learn that there are two types which are good, and one which is not. As we move in discernment, we must remember that Jesus commanded that we judge in righteous judgment.John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.John3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
