Here is something I found: Bacon Valentine How to Make Chocolate Bacon Roses Normally, I hate V-Day. Overrrrrrrrated. But, this year, my ManBacon introduced me to bacon roses, which is prolly the sweetest thing a significant other can do. Bacon roses: the true gesture of romance on Valentine’s Day I am fairly certain I could eat only chocolate bacon roses for the rest of my life. Helloooo delicious meal-on-a-fake-stem. If V-day is an excuse to eat bacon roses, I’m all in. You should make them. For Valentine’s Day. Or any day. Even if you’re single. Seriously. (The 4-Hour Chef has a similar recipe. Sans chocolate.) How to Make Chocolate Bacon Roses yield 6 roses MATERIALS: Go to the Dollar Store (what can I say, I’m a cheap date). Get the following: disposable aluminium foil muffin tin for 6+ muffins (see pic below) fake flower bunch with 6+ stems. You want to be able to pop off the petal head and still have something on the stalk to support the bacon rose (see pic below) wax paper, if you don’t have any (optional) tall vase (optional) V-day ribbon INGREDIENTS: You don’t have to dip these in chocolate. But I highly recommend it. Ideal ingredients: 6+ strips raw bacon (I recommend thick-cut) 4 oz unsweetened baking chocolate squares 1-2 tbsp unsweetened baking cocoa powder 2 tbsp coconut oil 2 tbsp nut butter sweetener of your choice, to taste OR, the shortcut ingredients: 6+ strips of raw bacon (I recommend thick-cut) 1 cup chocolate chips 1 tbsp nut butter OR, the bacon-purist ingredients: 6+ strips of raw bacon (I recommend thick-cut) INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Pre-heat oven to 375. 2. Poke holes in the disposable aluminium foil muffin tin with a knife. 3. Tightly roll strips of bacon. 4. Place rolled bacon strips in disposable muffin tin, meatier side on top. 5. Place disposable tin on a wire rack inside of another pan that’s been lined with aluminum foil. (If you don’t have a rack, find a container pan that the disposable tin can be suspended in so it’s not touching the bottom, if possible). Use a pan with an edge in case you get a lot of bacon grease run-off. 6. Bake @ 375 for 30-40 minutes, or until bacon starts to brown and get crispy. 7. Remove bacon roses from pan, set on paper-towel lined plate. 8. Set plate of bacon roses in freezer to cool, 10 minutes or just cooled. (but don’t freeze ‘em! you can always put them in fridge instead). If you’re dipping the roses in chocolate: 1. Melt chocolate and all other ingredients until smooth. 2. Pour chocolate into coffee mug. Let cool a few minutes to thicken. 3. Line a plate with wax paper. 4. Dip bottoms of roses in chocolate. Place on wax paper plate. 5. Set plate freezer for 15-20 minutes to allow chocolate to harden. 6. Poke a hole in the center of the bottom of the rose with a toothpick or knife. Attaching bacon roses on fake stems: 1. Pop fake flower heads off stems. Trim stems, if necessary. If you have a vase, stick the stem bunch in vase. If you have ribbon, make a lil bow. 2. Stick bacon roses on stem.
