Here is something I recently learned in a CPR class, which I have never been taught in any class I previous have had to take. It was determined most of CPR activities that fail, because the EMT was unable to keep a steady pattern for the heart. The number one problem with most people trained in CPR is to keep them in beat to the 100 Hearts beats per second; therefore an EMT trainer in Hawaii found music can be helpful. His search went for the exact song that meet the 100 beats per second and he found two that will work and it was recommend all EMT who plan to use their training, learn one of these song and keep it in their head as the perform to keep them in rhythm. I just happen that “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees has 103 beats per minute, while “Another One Bites the Dust” by the Queens Band has 100 beats per minute (the exact number needed). Now I ask you, which song would like to hear the EMT humming when he brought you back to life?
