Here is test footage with the Sony FS7: My initial thoughts. Beautiful flat S-log3 and the 14 stop dynamic range is incredible! The features are so great and the ergonomics are night and day difference from the Sony fs700. Comparing it to my c100 is different with ergonomics though. The canon c100 is much lighter and smaller and I feel is much quicker to set up and get great stuff straight out of camera. The FS7, however, is very powerful. The color space wins, the dynamic range wins, the specs win (4k and super slow motion) I feel like it is a powerful image too. It is heavier than I expected. It is much bigger too. The histogram and wave forms look like crap but they do the trick. I dislike the WB button in the front as sometimes I do hit that button by accident. The slow aperture delay (can be fixed with firmware). Overall, the camera is one of those you would love for when shooting passion projects and personal run and gun stuff.
