Here is the article in todays St. Louis Post-Dispatch sports section about our new sports show, Morning Mayhem, beginning Jan 5th on 1490 The Champ-Fox Sports Radio. I thought Dan Caesar did a really nice job. The headline is kind of misleading if you havent already heard the story but dont blame Dan. He doesnt write them. A more accurate headline would have read, McKenna returns to airwaves 7 months after successfully defending himself against an arrogant, egotistical bully boss who put his hands on the wrong man. Probably a bit too long? Lol! I mention that because I lost so much because of lies told that day by two people who wouldn’t know anything about integrity or character. Remember, a witness came forward (Slatens Producer) and told detectives that he was there when Dumb & Dumber (Slaten & Marshall) went over plans to make up a story that said I attacked Dumber. Its all in the police report. They falsified a police report. All I did was what I am allowed to do by law.- defend myself. I wont be talking about that or those two dipshits anymore. It’s a waste of oxygen. I will let my lawyer handle those ass clowns. Memo to Dumber- you settled something out of court a few weeks back with a former 590 employee, right? Do you want me to make that public? Tick, tick, tick. On to more positive things- I have received so many nice messages from people in my craft wishing me well including Tim McKernan. I really respect what he is doing with his station. They are a team with no cancers and all on the same page. We hope to build that at 1490 The Champ. I am so excited to turn the page and get started at 1490 The Champ. As the article stated, I will continue to get the word out for local charities. That is my passion. I am at my max for facebook friends so I started a fan page. I hate the phrase fan page so I resisted getting one for years but it doesnt have a max so I can get the charity message out to so many more people. Please go to “McKenna Mayhem” and like the page. I will use both of my facebook pages to help get the word out about yur local charity events. If you want to post something on my wall, need to get the word out or would like me to emcee your charity event/trivia/fundraiser, please contact me by sending me a private fb message or email me at brianmckenna10@gmail. If its for charity, I will not accept an appearance fee. Give that money to the charity. Some charities insist that I get something since I am taking time away from my girlfriend and her 5 kids so I usually say if you feel you have to get me something, beer or a gift certificate to a local restaurant works but it’s not necessary. Then I can score some relationship cred with Lisa by taking her out for a “date night.” I want to thank Lisa, her wonderful 5 kids, my family and all my friends for being there for me the past 7 months. Im not going to lie,its been pretty rough: malignant melanoma, three surgeries, lost my job and my brother passed away. I know what youre thinking, I need a wambulance or a wamburger with an order of cries. But Ive always been pretty honest on my fb page (too honest) about my depression and things going on in my life so why would I stop now. This quote really stands out like a boner at a nudist colony- Ones true character isnt defined through success: its defined through adversity.I cant tell you how much I have appreciated your support. I do not take that for granted. Have a great weekend and LET’S GO BLUES!
