Here is the current plan for the duck. Her whole ankle is swollen and with heat from 1 or 2 spots on her foot... I am assuming the infection traveled and not that she sprained her ankle. Unlike chickens where you can see the black spot where the infection is her whole foot is black because... yup, she is black. Not helpful. I cant detect a specific infection spot. Bumblefoot is supposedly a staph infection. I am treating her the following way: *coconut oil and lavender essential oil combined and massaging the foot and leg. *orally giving her filtered water and oil of oregano Alternating with: *Arnica gel (remember when I hurt my wrist?) *orally giving colloidal silver I will wrap the foot at night and hope to repeat until infection is improved. We will resort to antibiotics from Tractor Supply if necessary. The boys are really upset she is gone. They have been standing guard over her. No one has been leaving the duck house. And my house smells strongly of barn thanks to duck in the back room. Pray for quick relief please.
