Here is the first team report from their match on 27th September: Result: 0-4 (Lost) Beaten by a well organised team with good players in key positions. The team talk was about starting with conviction and making sure the opposition knew they were in a game. That said when we didnt have the ball we didnt pressure well enough as a team and when we did have the ball we were looking long up the field. The first goal came from the left as Bartle was caught in position. The winger crossing well to meet the head of the opposing winger into the bottom left corner of the goal. Wands did have a chance to level the game against the run of play. A nice move between Alsop and McHale put Bartle through down the left however the cross was headed over by Power. The second for Dorkinians was from a Wandsworth throw. Moving the ball left across the midfield, their winger came inside and shot low to beat Baker. Going in at half time 2-0 down was a fair result. The start of the second half was better for Wandsworth. 30 minutes without a goal but at times we had backs to the wall and scrambling clear a series of good Dorkinian corners. Even so Wandsworth showed glimpses of good football but not enough. Ziad came on for Sam Allan at Right Back. The third goal was a great strike from their number 11. Cutting back on to his favourite right foot to curl it into the top right corner. No chance for Bakes. The fourth goal started with a battle between their striker and OBrien. The striker managing to cut the ball back for their number 14 have a great chance to score and score he did. Overall a 4-0 defeat was fair but the team morale remained high and the score in truth could have been anything if that hadnt been the case.
