Here is the latest fishing report from Terry Nel of Tackle Net in Port Edward - Hello, During the week, news came in of sardines sighted just south of Port St Johns and reports were of large shoals about a kilometre out to sea. This is good news and lets hope that ocean currents and temperatures are favourable over the next couple of weeks and that we have a sardine run this year. Two garrick were caught during the week as well and shad have been on the bite as also although still on the small side. A hammerhead shark was also landed here over the weekend so the chances are good as we approach the fishing season. Terry Nel.
