Here is the latest information on the little dog that I found on the roadside that was very close to dead. Fox almost had a forever home but the gentleman decided he couldnt afford another dog. So once again I am asking any kind soul out here that would love to give Fox a loving and forever home to please speak up. According to the Animal Hospital where he us currently being fostered at he is a playful, gentle, gets along with other pets and people. All of his wounds are all healed up so the only reason why he is still there is because he has no where else to go. If you cant provide him a home a donation for all of his medical expenses will really help out on his bill. Please contact me on my cell or email if you can help in any way. My email is. Posted by Jan Lewis Jul 14 · Harrodsburg, KY · Hi everyone who is a dog lover and takes the time to read this post. I found this dog last Tuesday (07/08/2014) beside the road across from my driveway at 5:00 AM as I was leaving for work. I checked him to see if he was alive or not. He was covered in blood and could only lift his head a little. His eyes were glassy and he was breathing was rapid & shallow. I thought he was hit by a car since that was so much blood on him. He allowed me to wrap him up in a blanket and so I picked him up and put him in my car. I contacted an employee at the Commonwealth Animal Hospital and was given instructions where I could leave him safely until the office opened. Later that afternoon I called to check on him and I was informed that he was now hit by a car but was mauled by at least 1-2 other dogs and that he had some serious wounds that needed treatment and that his blood work looked like his kidneys might be failing and that they take care of him and hopefully recover from the attack. I check on his progress daily. I stopped by to see him this past Saturday morning and to take pictures of him. I was pleasantly surprised how gentle he is and to see him up and moving around. So now I am posting his story and hopefully I can find him a home that he will be safe at and get the TLC he needs. His name is FOX, he is about 3-4 years old, weights 34 pounds. His deep wounds are stitched closed (the worst wound is on his left hind quarters and he has multiple puncture wounds), he is now up to date on his shots and is nurtured. He is now eating all of his food and his kidneys are working. Overall he expected to fully recover from this dog attack. If you are interested in adopting him please or donating some money to help pay for his care (as of Saturday his bill is over $500.00) please respond to this post or you may call me (859) 319-1969 or contact Commonwealth Animal hospital (859) 734-2245.
