Here is the latest update about the roadworks: Week 8 – Mon 17/06 to Fri 21/06 Madsen Rd will remain open to all traffic The westbound lane of Urraween Rd will be closed between Madsen Rd and Cooks Rd for the duration of the watermain construction in Urraween Rd and reinstatement of the culvert near Cooks Rd. Traffic will be detoured to Madsen Rd and Boat Harbour Dr via Nissen St. Traffic will only be able to travel: eastbound from Hervey Bay/Maryborough Rd to Madsen Rd westbound from Cooks Rd to Hervey Bay/Maryborough Rd. The Variable Message Sign prior to Nissen St indicating westbound “Medical Centre Traffic Only” will remain. The main entrance to the Medical Centre carpark will be re-opened and the temporary access shall be closed until a later date. Signage, indicating road closed for westbound traffic, is located in front of the Urraween Medical centre. Intermittent traffic control will be in action in the construction zone with minimal delays to eastbound traffic during this period. A temporary pedestrian path has been constructed and flagged along the western property boundary in Nissen St, around the Site Compound, and along the Northern property boundary of Urraween Rd. Another is located along the eastern property boundary of Nissen St, around St Stephen’s Hospital, and along the Northern property boundary of Urraween Rd. On occasion traffic conditions may change at short notice for reasons out of our control. In the event this does happen I will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible.
