Here is the latest update on Whole Women Healings fundraising. Ive tried to make it as brief as I can: Funding: The funding is moving along, over $1,500 so far, with additional committments. In addition to the Mala Practice campaign, I have begun a fundraising campaign via the offering bowl (theofferingbowl), which raises funds for Buddhist practice and study programs. These funds can therefore be used to contribute to the Peacemakers Retreat and to fund a practice retreat I would like to do afterwards in Nepal, at my teachers nunnery,Tek Chok LIng. These donations, which are not tax-deductible, go directly to the offering bowl, which then would dispense them to me. Air miles donation: A major support would be a donation of air miles for travel to Rwanda. Miles would need to be donated to me as an individual since FOR, our fiscal sponsor, does not have this set that up as a donation track. Every airline has their own parameters and procedures for donations to non-profits.I would first return to the NYC area from Mexico, then depart from and return to that area. Funding and travel expenses for the retreat in Nepal would be handled separately. Is this a possibility for you, or do you know of anyone who might be interested in facilitating WWHs service to Rwanda via the retreat and training to womens groups.
