Here is the meaning of “Bhaja Govindam” of Adi shankara - TopicsExpress

Here is the meaning of “Bhaja Govindam” of Adi shankara charya shloka, Light is atman. It shines on earthly element. Insect, birds , animals and man are all part of earthly elements. It took billions of years for the evaluation to take shape form insect to human. Every living organism has consciousness ( in the form of light). However the humans alone has the faculty of Gnanam the ability to perceive the ultimate truth paramananda. As per Swami Vivekananda video posted my cousin recently has revealed there are always outliers in the creation who can perceive ultimate truth when compared to ordinary humans like us. It is here shankara charya (great luminaire which this humanity has ever witnessed) composed Bhaja Govindam “Punarapi jananam punarapi maranam” to convey to humanity that “hey fool you have achieved the highest form of creation”, Do not waste your time but Pray and realize the ultimate truth ( changeless state). Otherwise you will be thrown to change state again and go through another cycle of birth and death. Why I should witness Paramananda Ultimate truth? If you do not you will put into ever- changing state again and witness happiness and sorrow again in any form of creation. Your identity is lost when you die and has no reference to your body and kith and kin. It is also not necessary you are born again as human. This changing state is hell and changeless state is heaven. Ignorantly my Patti used to do upvasa to go to heaven and witness vi kunata!!!! youtu.be/r4FUQxn4CnY
