Here is the new product release we were talking about last week for the 6.0 Powerstroke engines. We have been successfully using head gasket shims for the past two years on heads that were severely warped but otherwise good. The amount of bad reman and even new heads we get is astounding. Instead of gambling on getting a head that was as bad as the one we took off, we had these shims developed for us and have had great results. It is now possible to take up to .028 off a 6.0 head to get it flat. We used to have to throw any head away that required more than .008 to clean it up.
