Here is the place on 9th Street where the Patty Hill School was located. In 1915 this address was 615 Ninth Street. On the corner to the east of this structure at 623 Ninth Street was the home of the owner, Mary Patterson, of the Patty Hill School. To the west of the Patty Hill School at 607 Ninth Street was the home of my great grandfather, James Morgan Tennison. The steps and driveway of the Tennison property still exist. The Patty Hill School was operated from 1921 to 1943. It had at least grades K-6. Does anyone know if the Patty Hill School contained any grades after grade 6? (My father, Alfred Tennison, Jr., attend Patty Hill for Kindergarten and 1st grade, after which the school closed.)
