Here is the question that I think gun rights Americans have been - TopicsExpress

Here is the question that I think gun rights Americans have been overly reserved for not asking of their lunatic, anti-2nd amendment, gun-phobic neighbors.... Wait for it - I have few if any reservations in this area, so I will spell it out in perspicuous terms that even a stoned progressive should be able to understand. The most recent terrorist attack in our country was put down by a man - just an ordinary man - who chooses to carry a gun. If it were not for him (and his gun), the attack would surely have been exponentially worse. He has not been so much as congratulated by the stooges and sphincters that occupy Washington currently. I do not suppose that he would merit a shout out from our esteemed president unless he dared to do something as bold as to play football while gay. The way in which this terrorist, Islamist, piece of human garbage was stopped from continuing his Muslim-inspired act of jihad has scarcely been mentioned in the main stream media. But we all must admit that an ordinary citizen did it with his legally-owned gun. Now for the question: If it were your life - or that of someone dear to you - that was saved by a good man with a gun, would you reconsider your position on the 2nd amendment? If something as horrible as a Nation of Islam maniac with a knife who began to threaten your life after taking the life of your coworker was stopped (and your life spared) by somebody with a legally carried gun, would you then see the value of our constitutional rights to have and carry guns? I know why the government-controlled media is not asking this question. I am neither surprised nor puzzled by the lack of commentary. That is why the the question is directed to the humble subjects of this republic-turned-oligarchy. I welcome the discussion.
