Here is what I shared with our families: Fundraiser for Marie Walker Marie is the mom to two of our dancers Anna and Matthew in our Tuesday night dance class. Marie was rushed to the local ER last Monday, Marie was then transported via MERCY FLIGHT to Buffalo General Hospital. Marie was diagnosed with a torn aorta. On Friday April 28th she had undergone surgery to repair her heart. Currently she is still heavily sedated and on a ventilator. I can only imagine the strain emotionally and financially for this family due to the extreme emergency and urgency for Marie’s care. The dance studio will be hosting a Dance-A-thon on SUNDAY APRIL 27th 2:00-4:00 PM $10.00 for 2 hours of dance and FUN!!! ALL are welcome no experience needed, come out and support one of our own! Come learn some fun dance routines: Flashmob choreography/ Zumba kids / Free style Hip hop We will have a basket raffle and bake sale with all proceeds going to the Walker Family. We NEED YOUR HELP!! I am looking for one mother from each class to be in charge of creating a Basket from each class for the fundraiser. It is my hope that each family would consider donating a few dollars or items to create this basket. Below are some ideas: 1. Camping Basket – Cooler, Campfire goodies, citronella candles, bug spray 2. BBQ Basket- different sauces and grill utensils 3. Nail polish Basket – Nail polish bottles, remover, cottonballs, nail file, etc. 4. Movie Basket- Popcorn, Candies, Movie Tickets or DVD 5. Garden Basket – Packets of seeds, garden gloves, tools 6. Bon Appetite Basket- your favorite recipe with some of the ingredients and kitchen accessories. 7. Bait and Tackle Basket- Fishing accessories, hooks, bobbers etc 8. Pool Fun Basket- inflatable toys, rafts, goggles, diving toys 9. Golf Basket- Tee’s and Balls Gift Cert from local course or Pro Shop 10. Fitness basket- Water bottle, granola bars, Certificate from local gym 11. Car wash- Bucket, car wash, sponges, rags, glass cleaner, car freshener 12. Beach fun- sunglasses, pail & shovel, beach toys, towel 13. Summer reading Basket- your favorite books Would also accept any other donations from local or personal business’ . Gift Certificates from any Restaurants, Hair Salons & Spas, Liquor Store, Whoever you feel would be willing to help out a family in need. THANK YOU!!
