Here is what Ive been meditating on today (Joy!) But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. (Psalm 5:11) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. (Psalm 27:6) For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart! (Psalm 32:11) Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. (Psalm 33:3) And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; It shall rejoice in His salvation. (Psalm 35:9) Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” (Psalm 35:27) Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. (Psalm 43:4) Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. (Psalm 51:12) My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. (Psalm 63:5) Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth! (Psalm 66:1) Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth. Selah. They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance. (Psalm 89:15) Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. (Psalm 95:1-2) Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. Sing to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and the sound of a psalm, with trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King. (Psalm 98:4-6) Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! (Psalm 100:1) He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness. (Psalm 105:43) Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your saints shout for joy. (Psalm 132:9) Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. (Psalm 149:2-5) Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. (Isaiah 12:3) The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 29:19) And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. (Isaiah 61:7) I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10) But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, And joy in My people; The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, Nor the voice of crying. (Isaiah 65:18-19) Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16) “Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.” (Jeremiah 31:13) Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,’ says the Lord. (Jeremiah 33:11) “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44) Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Luke 2:10) “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11) “Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” (John 16:22) “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:24) “But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.” (John 17:13) You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence. (Acts 2:28) And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 13:52) For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy. (Colossians 1:11) Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (Hebrews 12:11) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials. (James 1:2) Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory. (1 Peter 1:8) But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:13) And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. (1 John 1:4) Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
