Here is where I lived in my 1st apartment on the Economy. The year was 1980 and I was assigned to the 2nd Finance Section located on the Engineer Compound in Fulda Germany. I lived in the attic apartmnet of this house in Welkers. A kind older German couple lived on the bottom floor. An older lady on the second floor and in the apartmnet attached to the right on the bottom floor is where the elderly couples son, daughter in law and grandson lived. I had a gallon wall water heater for the kitchen sink and a 3 gallon wall water heater for the bathroom. i had to turn them on and wait for the water to heat. If I left my heat on when I went to work they come up and turned it off. I had a fixed rent and utility bill. After I started using a small electric heater to warm up my living room my rent went up 30 marks or so. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone else has pictures of their home on the economy.
