Here it comes... the back to school supply rant. Teacher friends... close your eyes because I know you all are doing your best.... Having 4 children is my own doing and I get that. However... Ive been slowly chipping away at supplies for about 2 weeks. Today I wanted to finish up and didnt get to. So far Ive spent about $150 on these supplies that are being asked for. I still have to purchase 5 binders for cam, get Lysol wipes and $4 for elliot, get graphite pencils and a $120 calculator for Caitlyn and lord knows whats left for dom. Aside from that, the high school lists have teacher specific items which is fine, but my kids have zero idea who their teachers are till the day before and the first day of school... so Ill be doing this all over again in a week! Were a one income family, as are a lot of families out there. How the crap is this affordable for anyone? What makes me the most frustrated is when I see how much stuff ends up in the garbage or lying around after the school year that didnt get used. Ok. Im done for now. But i reserve the right to get back on my soapbox if necessary.
