Here it is. I will make my stage debut in September in the Chippewa Valley Theater Guilds presentation of La Cage Aux Folles as Mr. Dindon, a stuffy conservative politician. I promised Cori and Reagan that if I dropped to one job, I would audition for a theatrical production in which we could all participate. Wile this production had no roles for Reagan (and Cori did not audition, either), I ignored my wifes prods to audition. I figured that there would be a different venue for me to get my start. After auditions, there we unfilled roles and after more insistence, I checked into it. Cori worked with the director in The King and I and has much respect for him. After speaking at length with the director, I felt it was a small enough role to start with and definitely a challenge. The character does have a brief singing part and at the end of the show ends up dressed in drag to escape the press. Frankly, I am more worried about learning to do the polka for a brief dance section. So there you have it. My stage debut in a most unlikely venue, but I think it will be fun!
