Here it is! Im overjoyed to announce the list of guests for Family Dinner (Volume 2), which will be recorded live at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans on February 12, 13, and 14. Were doing it a little bit differently this time, with 3 nights of performances and 2 shows per night, as well as inviting some very special instrumentalist friends from all over the world to join us in supporting these 8 incredible artists. And as is the tradition with Family Dinner albums, this one will benefit a music charity called The Roots of Music, which empowers the youth of New Orleans through music education, academic support, and mentorship while preserving and promoting the unique musical and cultural heritage of the city where jazz (and consequently, a whole lot of other music) was born. We are extremely grateful to have the following guests join us for what Im sure will be a beautiful three days of music (and probably not too bad of a hang, either). VOCALISTS Susana Baca (Peru) David Crosby (USA) Laura Mvula (UK) Salif Keita (Mali) Becca Stevens (USA) Jacob Collier (UK) Knower (USA) Chris Turner (USA) INSTRUMENTALISTS Jeff Coffin Charlie Hunter Väsen (Sweden) Carlos Malta (Brazil) Bernardo Aguiar (Brazil) and several more to be announced. If you would like to purchase tickets to be in the studio audience for any of these six performances (there are only 360 seats in total, so theyll go very fast), keep your eye on this page, Instagram, and/or Twitter to find the ticket link. It will go live at 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday, December 1st. See you in New Orleans! -Michael
